Yesterday I was diagnosing a new website that one of my client’s decided to switch to my powerful web hosting. There was something wrong with one of the plugins. It was giving a 503 server error. This means that something is definitely wrong on the programming side of the website. Took about one of two hours of hard diagnosing the site. I was not able to access the admin control panel of the site. It is a WordPress site, so it has a admin control panel where you can make all website modifications.
WordPress .HTACCESS FILE FIX CODE
I deleted and removed the plugin that was conflicting the entire website. I installed once again and the website had the same issue. I knew that it was still be the same, so then I went to inspect the .htaccess files. There on the .htaccess file I see that it is different vs other files that I have done. So I opened my other website .htaccess file and copied the code and paste it on this different .htaccess file. I went ahead and clicked save and was saved to the root directory and replacing overriding that .htaccess file
Opened and refreshed the website again and boom, everything was fixed and ready. It was kind of difficult to diagnose and track the file that was corrupted. Sometimes you have to work extra hard to find what is wrong with your site. One little thing and your site doesn’t fully respond and corrupted. I am very good with WordPress site’s.
